The countdown is drawing to an end and as of tomorrow the show jumping will begin while today we are starting to see the great horses and riders as well as the magical atmosphere of one of Rome’s most enchanting places.

There may be no stands for spectators since anti-Covid rules have made it compulsory to hold the show behind closed doors, but since the CSIO is hosted in a public park both Roman citizens and visitors will have the privilege of watching from very special positions.

Following the principle of bio-architecture which is at the foundations of this project with the Villa’s cultural and architectural legacy, the first and second rings surrounding the oval usually filled by the stands now remain empty, emphasising the oval’s relationship with nature thanks to river gravel and chips of ancient trees that cover them, enhancing the green vision of Piazza di Siena. All this will take us back to the first editions of this show with visitors experiencing an exciting journey through time revisiting the venue as it was in the early 20th century.
